Growing in relationship

I believe we are all figuring out how to be in relationship with ourselves and each other, and inviting another person in who is dedicated to helping you understand your patterns and shaping new ones can make all the difference.

My approach

I specialize in relationships, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I believe that joining together to build trust is the basis for our work together. The approach I use for working with relationships is Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), building on the idea of security and trust in relationships as the foundation for connection, communication, and collaboration. For individuals, I lean on much of the same basic concepts, and I also draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which builds on acceptance, present-moment awareness, a solid sense of self, flexibility, values, and intentional action. For working with trauma, I use Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Emotion-Focused Trauma Therapy (EFTT).
